The students of the IV edition of the CEU-CEFAS Expert Degree in Leadership and Civic Engagement have enjoyed during the lunch-colloquium the presentation of the IBM consultant, Matías Llorente, in which they have been able to reflect on the impact of the woke ideology in companies.
The monopoly of the left
The consultant began his speech by explaining that the left has monopolized and made its own the discourse on inequality, concern for women and poverty from the perspective of the woke ideology, thus managing to exclude the right from these issues. In addition, Llorente explained that this ideology is imposed on large corporations through a supposed moral objectivity, putting employees and consumers who do not share these ideas in compromising situations. The speaker affirmed that in the presence of progressive lobbies in multinationals it is necessary to defend conservative values: “we must be firm in our principles day by day“, he said.
Propose solutions to problems
Llorente also encouraged students to commit to their ideas in both their personal and professional lives and to choose well the battles they want to fight. The consultant also explained that one should not only oppose what one does not agree with, but also propose alternatives and solutions.
