The San Pablo CEU University Foundation has signed a collaboration agreement with the production company López-Li Films to promote a third film on Hispanidad. This project aims to highlight the Hispanic roots of the United States, recover historical truth, and counter the Black Legend surrounding Spain’s presence in the Americas. The agreement was signed by the President of the San Pablo CEU University Foundation, Alfonso Bullón de Mendoza, and the director and founder of López-Li Films, José Luis López-Linares.

The production company’s new film seeks to provide a rigorous and well-documented perspective on Spain’s legacy in the Americas and the formation of the Hispanic community. Through this agreement, both institutions join forces to promote an accurate, academic, and humanistic narrative of their shared history and the cultural impact of Hispanidad, at a time when the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the Thirteen Colonies is approaching—a milestone in which Spain played a significant yet often overlooked role.
Through the CEU CEFAS Institute of American Studies, CEU and López-Li Films thus strengthen their alliance and shared agenda to reaffirm the historical role of Spain and the Hispanic Monarchy in the formation and development of the territory we now know as the United States. This is the second film produced by López-Li Films that is being sponsored by the San Pablo CEU University Foundation as part of its commitment to promoting awareness of the true history of the viceroyal period.
