
On February 17th, 18th, and 19th, the director of CEU-CEFAS, Elio A. Gallego, and the executive director of CEU-CEFAS, Fernando Nistal, attended the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship Conference (ARC) held in London.
The conference circle addressed topics such as education based on social, economic, philosophical, and cultural understanding; the pursuit of virtues on the path to innovation; and humanistic leadership as a response to a world full of scepticism and concern for sustainable human development.
Additionally, discussions covered issues related to culture and the need to delve into the foundations of Western civilization. Likewise, reflections were made on the polarization affecting 21st-century society and the role that leaders and public figures play in today’s social landscape.


The event, organized by the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship, was inaugurated by the institution’s CEO, Philippa Stroud. It also featured speeches from renowned thinkers, entrepreneurs, and intellectuals, including writer, speaker, and professor at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School, Arthur C. Brooks; clinical psychologist, author, and professor emeritus at the University of Toronto, Jordan B. Peterson; Somali writer and activist, Ayaan Hirsi Ali; founder and editor of The Free Press, Bari Weiss; and the U.S. Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright.
